Job description

Ensures that overall sales and profitability goals for the store are met by 1) providing training to all associates; 2) assisting the Store Manager in the development of staff in compliance with adidas Retail growth objectives; 3) overseeing the daily operation of the store and assuring compliance with adidas Retail policy and procedure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Supports the Store Manager by implementing and maintaining a staff structure that minimizes payroll expense and increases productivity.
  2. Assists the Store Manager by evaluating employees' performance on a day-to-day basis.
  3. Performs or assists in the completion of all documentation associated with applicants, new hires, payroll.
  4. Effectively utilizes customer service, training, educational tools, and communication to develop staff in relation to adidas Retail goals.
  5. Maintains personnel files to Company standards.
  6. Assures adherence to all Company systems and procedures.
  7. Maintains confidentiality of adidas Retail operating information.
  8. Assures compliance with legal statutes and safety guidelines in overall management of store and associates.
  9. Obtains the necessary skills, experience, and training from daily interaction with store management and outside training to develop necessary skills to assure promotability to the next level.
  10. Assures adherence to adidas Retail visual presentation guidelines.
  11. Implements the security procedures set forth by adidas Head Office including, but not limited to shrinkage control, and safety inspections.
  12. As needed, assists in the development of merchandising, advertising and promotional programs to help meet the sales and marketing goals of the store.
  13. Resolves customer complaints.
  14. Assists in maintaining inventory levels by communicating with the Store Manager overages and shortages of product.
  15. Assists the Store Manager to implement and maintain management systems for planning, organization, controlling and auditing store operations.

Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma and 2 years retail experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS
  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  2. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  3. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  4. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions.
