Deputy Head : Academics - Junior Preparatory Grades 1-3

The Technical Buyer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers for the procurement of cost effective and timely delivery of electronic, mechanical and electrical equipment, materials, parts and services, and works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure the defined technical requirements are met. The Technical Buyer is also responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing terms, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12 Certificate.
2. A Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6) in Purchasing / Supply Chain Management is mandatory.
3. 5-10 Years of electronic, mechanical and electrical buying experience in the aviation or defence industry.
4. Strong knowledge of business principles, policies, and legislation related to purchasing.
5. Proficiency in procurement ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
