Job description

Qualifications and Experience

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma qualification (B-Degree or higher) in Information Technology, Public Administration, or Business Administration; a minimum of 3 years management level experience.

Recommendation

Knowledge and experience of the Public Service Corporate Governance Information and Communication Technology Policy Framework.

Key Performance Areas

Functions include:

  1. Identifying, implementing, and maintaining departmental ICT policies and application systems.
  2. Managing interfaces with CEI and other service providers.
  3. Coordinating departmental inputs into various ICT plans.
  4. Ensuring systems security and ICT business continuity.
  5. Coordinating and facilitating the introduction and optimization of systems.
  6. Providing secretariat support for ITSTRATCOM and ITSTEERCOM.
  7. Managing ICT staff and all resources of the Sub-Directorate.

Remuneration

All-inclusive salary package of R [amount] per annum (Salary Level [level])

Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations, including basic salary, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed.
