Job description

A Corporate Private Dental Practice in Kempton Park, East Rand, is seeking a dedicated and experienced HPCSA-Registered Dental Assistant to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care and proficient in both clinical assistance and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and comfort.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilisation protocols.
  • Manage dental prosthetic treatment quotations, submitting them to medical aids and tracking approvals.
  • Handle medical aid correspondence, including obtaining authorisations and following up on outstanding approvals.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication between patients, medical aids, and the practice.
  • Schedule patient appointments for prosthetic and other dental treatments.
  • Provide administrative support to streamline dental procedures and patient records.

Requirements:

  • HPCSA-Registered Dental Assistant qualification is essential.
  • Prior experience in a dental practice environment.
  • Above-average computer literacy is required, as the entire system is computerised.
  • Familiarity with medical aid claims and authorisations is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A professional and friendly demeanor with a focus on patient care.

Working Hours & Remuneration:

  • Full-time position with regular weekly hours, 08:00 - 17:00 & 1 Saturday per month.
  • Salary: R15 000 - R17 000, depending on experience.
