You will own SAP Materials Management delivery across procurement and inventory management, while leading a small team of three functional experts and guiding future S/4HANA and Fiori-based solutions. This role requires deep MM knowledge, end-to-end supply chain understanding, and the ability to drive standard, scalable SAP solutions with a focus on governance and resilience

The SAP team is looking for an experienced SAP MM Delivery Lead to step into a role that blends hands‑on functional expertise with people leadership. The team is small, lean and growing, and the person in this role needs to be as comfortable guiding colleagues as they are delivering solutions. This is not a purely technical role, and it is not a purely managerial one. The Delivery Lead will own SAP Materials Management delivery across procurement, inventory management and broader supply chain processes, while operationally leading a team of three functional experts. As the team grows, the role is expected to evolve, gradually shifting towards solution guidance, relationship management, best‑practice recommendations and people development. The team is on a journey towards future‑fit, standard solutions, including SAP S/4HANA, the Fiori landscape and AI‑enabled capabilities. The right candidate will help lead that journey, not just support the current environment.

What you'll do

Functional delivery

• Lead end-to-end SAP MM delivery across procurement, inventory management and broader supply chain processes.
• Act as the primary point of accountability for MM‑related delivery outcomes across procurement, inventory, supply chain and integration domains.
• Apply deep knowledge of source-to-pay and supply chain management processes, from vendor sourcing and procurement through to inventory management, logistics and goods movement.
• Drive solution design across integrated business processes, ensuring alignment between SAP, third‑party systems and operational supply chain requirements.
• Design and recommend standard, future‑fit SAP solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practice.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP functional solutions and outcomes.
• Provide functional leadership for SAP MM integrations, collaborating with technical teams, integration specialists and solution architects to deliver robust end-to-end business solutions.
• Ensure data, process and system integration points are well governed, resilient and support operational continuity across the supply chain.

People leadership

• Operationally manage and develop a team of SAP functional experts.
• Upskill and coach team members, building capability and functional depth across the team.
• Coordinate and rally the team around shared priorities and delivery goals.
• Guide the team towards SAP S/4HANA and Fiori‑ready solutions.
• Research and recommend new initiatives and platform capabilities, including AI‑enabled functionality.

As the team grows, you'll shift towards :

• Solution guidance and architectural input.
• Relationship management with business and technology stakeholders.
• Identifying and embedding best practices across the SAP landscape.

What the team is looking for

Non‑negotiable technical requirements

• Deep, hands‑on SAP MM (Materials Management) expertise across procurement and inventory management.
• Strong end‑to‑end understanding of source‑to‑pay processes, including vendor sourcing and procurement.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes and how procurement, inventory management, logistics and goods movement connect across the broader business process.
• Experience working across integrated business processes and understanding how SAP MM connects with related systems and functional areas.
• Awareness of SAP S/4HANA, the Fiori landscape and future platform direction.

Advantageous

• Exposure to AI‑enabled SAP capabilities and future platform development.

Minimum Experience

• A relevant degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years or more relevant SAP MM experience.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of SAP functional specialists.
• Experience in a large‑scale SAP environment, with banking, retail or FMCG experience advantageous.
• Stakeholder relationship engagement and management
• Responsibility for delivery in a fast moving environment
