What you will be doing

You will provide direction to and lead IT teams responsible for the full product lifecycle to ensure successful delivery of all product features, support and maintenance related tasks within the Capitec Bank Operations and oversee the ongoing drive to increase efficiency, optimization, innovation and people development in these environments.

Minimum Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in information technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - Programming
2. At least 5 years' experience in software development management including experience in leading a technical team.
3. Experience with Cloud platforms and applications such as AWS, Salesforce, nCino is highly advantageous.
4. Experience in progressive database or software development roles.
5. Stakeholder relationship engagement and management.
6. Responsibility for delivery in a fast moving environment.
7. General business acumen.
8. The retail credit industry.
9. Banking industry.
10. Budgeting and accounting principles.
11. Business analysis and design.
12. Implementation and maintenance of financial and contact centre systems and procedures.
13. Project Management principles and methodologies.
14. Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Qualifications (Minimum)

Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - Programming.

Knowledge

Minimum: General business acumen, the retail credit industry, banking industry, budgeting and accounting principles, business analysis and design, implementation and maintenance of financial and contact centre systems and procedures, project management principles and methodologies, systems development life cycle (SDLC).

Ideal: Central Collections environment, Capitec Bank Systems Environment, Capitec Bank Business Model, Agile development principles.
