Qualifications

• Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP) and appropriate driver's license for the vehicle class.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transport role.
• Clean driving record.
• Familiarity with the Bloemfontein, Free State area and surrounding routes.
• Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading of goods.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles for the transport of goods and materials.
• Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to ensure punctuality and efficiency.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients at delivery points.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
• Assist with occasional warehouse duties as required.
