At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we’re hiring highly technical cloud computing architects to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity, while also collaborating with our customers and partners on key engagements. Our consultants will deliver proof-of-concept projects, topical workshops, and lead implementation projects. These professional services engagements will focus on key customer solutions such as web applications, enterprise applications, HPC, batch processing, big data, archiving, disaster recovery, education, and government.

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed with strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered, and to drive feature innovation based on customer needs.

Key job responsibilities

As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for:

1. Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
2. Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
3. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies.
4. Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
5. Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route 53, S3).
• Experience implementing AWS services in distributed computing environments.
• Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or hands-on experience with technology infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, and virtualization.
• Experience with SDLC and agile methodologies, and integrating cloud services with on-premise technologies from providers like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP, etc.
• Experience with IT compliance and risk management (e.g., security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA), scripting or coding skills, and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of IT implementation experience.
• Technical expertise in cloud computing technologies, including design and implementation.
• Experience leading the development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on experience with technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
