Placements24 is recruiting a DeFi Protocol Developer for a remote-first engineering team. You will design, implement, and optimize secure smart contracts for DeFi applications like lending, borrowing, and exchanges using Solidity or Rust.

You will continuously test, audit, and verify contracts, collaborate with product teams, and stay current with DeFi security practices. A strong background in web3 tooling is essential for success.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Math or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience designing and deploying DeFi smart contracts.
• Strong knowledge of Solidity, Rust, and security practices.

About the Role

Our client, a trailblazer in decentralized finance (DeFi), is actively seeking a talented and innovative DeFi Protocol Developer to join their remote-first engineering team. This role is central to the design, development, and enhancement of cutting-edge DeFi protocols and smart contracts. You will be at the forefront of building the next generation of financial instruments in the Crypto & Blockchain space, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in decentralized finance. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts for various DeFi applications (e.g., lending, borrowing, exchanges, derivatives).
• Develop and maintain robust decentralized protocols using languages like Solidity or Rust.
• Conduct thorough testing, auditing, and formal verification of smart contracts to ensure security and reliability.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate DeFi product ideas into technical specifications and executable code.
• Optimize smart contract gas efficiency and overall protocol performance.
• Research and integrate with other DeFi protocols and blockchain networks.
• Stay informed about the latest developments, trends, and security concerns in the DeFi and broader crypto space.
• Participate in community discussions and provide technical insights related to protocol development.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and deploying smart contracts on blockchain platforms, with a focus on DeFi.
• Expertise in Solidity and familiarity with other relevant programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
• Deep understanding of DeFi concepts, mechanisms, and economic models.
• Experience with DeFi protocols such as Uniswap, Aave, Compound, or similar.
• Familiarity with web3 development tools and libraries (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle, Ethers.js).
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices for smart contract development.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
