Job description

A well established law firm is currently recruiting for a Defended Litigation Secretary in the Lynnwood, Pretoria area

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Litigation Secretary in defended foreclosure matters.
  • Experience specifically with defended foreclosure cases, preferably involving Standard Bank.
  • Proficiency in My Attorneys and CACS (bank-related systems).
  • Experience using GhostPractice.
  • Familiarity with Caselines.
  • Strong dictation typing skills.
  • Ability to perform general administrative tasks relevant to a defended foreclosure department.
  • Experience in drafting and processing legal documents under attorney supervision, including motions, pleadings, notices, sheriff's letters, and other litigation-related documentation.
  • Competency in managing case files and documentation, ensuring all files are current and well-organized.
  • Effective communication with clients, counterparts, and defendants.
  • Coordination with legal professionals to ensure timely filings, court appearances, reporting, and feedback to clients.
