Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled DeFi Developer to contribute to cutting-edge DeFi projects in Welkom, South Africa. You will build and enhance decentralized financial instruments, develop lending, borrowing, trading, and asset management protocols, and work across the Crypto & Blockchain ecosystem.

The role demands deep DeFi knowledge, smart contract proficiency with Solidity, and experience with frameworks like Hardhat or Truffle.

Qualifications

• Proven ervaring in smart contract development using Solidity and related frameworks.
• Familiarity with AMMs, yield farming, and liquidity pools within DeFi ecosystems.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Developer to contribute to their innovative projects in Welkom . This role is at the cutting edge of financial technology, focusing on building and enhancing decentralized financial instruments and platforms. You will be instrumental in developing protocols for lending, borrowing, trading, and asset management within the Crypto & Blockchain ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DeFi principles, experience with smart contract development, and a passion for creating secure, efficient, and user-friendly financial applications, driving the future of finance from the Free State.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust DeFi protocols and smart contracts on various blockchain networks.
• Integrate with existing DeFi infrastructure and third-party services to enhance platform functionality.
• Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency and security, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers and UI/UX designers to create seamless user experiences for DeFi applications.
• Monitor deployed protocols, identify potential risks, and implement necessary upgrades or patches.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a DeFi Developer or a similar role with a strong focus on decentralized finance.
• Proficiency in smart contract development languages such as Solidity and experience with frameworks like Hardhat or Truffle.
• Solid understanding of DeFi concepts, including Automated Market Makers (AMMs), yield farming, and liquidity pools.
• Experience with web3 libraries and blockchain interaction tools.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve complex financial and technical challenges.
