Job summary

The Fiduciary Recruitment Group in Table View, South Africa, is seeking a Tax Practitioner – Deceased Estates to join our specialist tax division. You will handle the end-to-end tax compliance for deceased estates, preparing and submitting IT12 and IT12TR returns with accuracy and SARS correspondence.

You will work independently, apply technical knowledge of deceased estates, CGT and relevant Acts, and deliver audit-ready submissions within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Taxation.
• Registration or eligibility for SAIT/CIBA or equivalent body is essential.
• 3–5 years’ experience in tax compliance.
• Experience in deceased estates or fiduciary tax is essential.
• Experience with objections and appeals is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit pre-death income tax returns (IT12).
• Prepare, review and submit post-death/estate tax returns (IT12TR).
• Review tax packs and ensure SARS compliance.
• Conduct final technical, legislative and accuracy checks.
• Submit returns via SARS eFiling and manage related correspondence.
