Debtors Clerk (5-Month Ftc – Urgent)

A leading food manufacturing company is urgently looking for a Debtors Clerk to provide maternity cover for 5 months.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end debtors function, ensuring accurate processing of accounts receivable, reconciling accounts, and handling client queries. If you have experience in FMCG or manufacturing, strong financial administration skills, and proficiency in Sage Evolution, this is a great opportunity to step into a dynamic role within a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process credit notes on the system accurately.
2. Monitor outstanding debt and follow up on overdue payments.
3. Send monthly debtor statements on time.
4. Prepare and manage cash collection forecasts.
5. Reconcile trading terms and accounts receivable ledger.
6. Analyse aged debtors reports and escalate any concerns to management.
7. Handle client credit applications and approvals.
8. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
9. Resolve client queries, disputes, and discrepancies efficiently.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
11. Assist with audit preparation and documentation.
12. Maintain an organised and structured record-keeping system.

Requirements

Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role, preferably within FMCG or food manufacturing.

Technical Skills: Sage Evolution proficiency (highly advantageous). Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
