Job description

Our client is looking for a new and dynamic Dean, who will provide strategic, academic and operational leadership to the institution. The Dean will be responsible for driving enhancements that will build and enhance our reputation in providing a quality education at an affordable price, whilst growing levels of business profitability.

POSITION INFO :

• The Dean will work with the leadership team to further define our vision and mission and will need to take ownership for future growth and sustainability.
• Report to the leadership team and work closely with colleagues to ensure successful delivery of all KPIs.
• Create the academic vision for the future qualifications and programs focused on the institution’s core values and brand promise.
• Work with the leadership team to ensure that maintenance of an exceptional student experience across all disciplines.
• Responsible for the quality and standards of both the current and the future qualifications and programs.
• Forging strong partnerships with industry and accreditation authorities, the Dean will need to optimize and realize opportunities for growth.
• Champion the transformational impact that education and knowledge can have on individuals, in both B2B and B2C markets.
• The Dean will be responsible for building and developing new sales channels within the College.

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Planning is required to ensure the institution has the right blend of accredited qualifications and skills programs.
• Development of new qualifications and skills programs.
• Improve graduation rates.
• Conduct current course reviews.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Manage scholarships or bursaries.
• Oversee international funding.
• Ensure bursary grants are a percentage of previous profits.
• Manage admissions for private and corporate clients.
• Monitor retention rates.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree.
• 3-4 years of experience as a Dean.
• Experience and understanding of QCTO environment.
• Experience and understanding of LMS tools (Student support).
• Experience signing up and selling courses with corporate companies (advantage).
