Dealership Vehicle Stock Controller - Gauteng, Northcliff

Our client is seeking a meticulous, organized, and experienced Dealership Stock Controller to join their team and support operations in the Cape region from head office level in Gauteng Northcliff. In this role, you will ensure the smooth management of vehicle stock, maintain accurate records, and support the sales department by optimizing inventory control.

Your attention to detail and efficiency will be key to maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.

Although this role serves the Cape, the successful candidates will be based at the client's Northcliff offices. Remuneration: R16 basic plus incentives – Benefit includes Provident Fund contributions.

Duties include:

1. Ensure all vehicle requirements are fulfilled for both sales and deliveries.
2. Manage the process of bringing new and used vehicles into stock, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
3. Oversee vehicle preparation, including PDI, reconditioning, accessory installation, photography, and valeting for sales or delivery.
4. Maintain accurate records and stock levels of all vehicles.
5. Foster strong working relationships with the sales team, workshop, service providers, and other stakeholders.
6. Supervise the vehicle readiness process to ensure seamless sales and deliveries.
7. The role involves extensive hands-on tasks, with up to 90% of time spent driving, moving, and preparing vehicles.

Requirements:

1. Matric / Grade 12 qualification is essential.
2. Valid Code 8 (EB) driver's license is required.
3. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is a must.
4. Prior experience in motor vehicle dealership operations, particularly as a Stock Controller, is highly advantageous.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships and work well within a team.
7. Must be medically fit and have a clear criminal record.
8. Residency in the Northern Suburbs or nearby areas is preferred.
9. Own reliable transport is necessary due to early start and late finish times, making this a key requirement.
