Job title: Dealer Sales Consultant

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Obtain client information by making calls to dealers or F&I’s and informing clients about the products and services offered.
- Determine eligibility by comparing client information to requirements.
- Establish policies by entering and capturing correct client information, including premium confirmation and transferring to Underwriting for pricing confirmation.
- Inform clients by explaining procedures, answering questions accurately, and providing information.
- Maintain communication by reporting problems.
- Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines; recommend improved procedures.
- Achieve sales and organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed.
- Contact businesses or private individuals by phone.
- Ensure and communicate sales scripts to persuade potential customers to purchase a product or service.
- Describe products and services and respond correctly to questions.
- Solve all basic and some complex client queries or problems; re-route more complex issues to relevant departments.
- Have in-depth knowledge of the company’s products; guide customers through the sales process and obtain customer information.
- Obtain potential customer leads and maintain customer/potential customer databases.
- Follow up on initial contacts and build relationships with dealers or F&I’s.
- Achieve agreed-upon closing or conversion ratios and sales targets.
Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent; a tertiary qualification is an advantage.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications and call center systems.
- Good typing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels, including during challenging circumstances.
- Ability to prioritize and manage own workload amid conflicting demands and busy periods.
- Ability to anticipate needs and think ahead.
- Discretion in handling confidential or sensitive matters.
- Experience in Sales, Retail, or Business Development roles.
