This role reports into the Security Services Department.

The Facilities Section Manager at DBM Gardens is responsible for managing the leased properties that support the core business of DBM. The role ensures the effective and efficient operation of DBM Gardens, providing a single point of contact for coordinating all related services. The manager will develop and maintain the facilities management plan, offer solutions, and address sustainability issues while minimizing impacts on Safety, Environment, Health, and Security.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Property Management: Coordinate and oversee property management processes for DBM Gardens (Upstream Technology Head Office).
  2. Maintenance: Directly responsible for maintenance of DBM Gardens and liaising with landlords.
  3. Maintenance Schedules and Inspections: Manage maintenance schedules and electrical inspections to comply with statutory, company, safety, and manufacturer requirements.
  4. Facilities Management: Implement and manage Service Level Agreements.
  5. Contractor Management: Oversee contractors engaged in facilities management activities.
  6. Administrative and Financial Management: Manage administrative tasks and control costs within budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
  7. Legal and Contract Compliance: Ensure proper management of contracts, leases, sub-leases, and SLAs.
  8. People Management: Lead staff in discipline, performance, and personal development.
  9. Governance: Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma with experience in Property Management, Project Management, and Commercial fields or equivalent NQFL6 qualification.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years' experience managing high-end properties.
  • Experience with contract deliverables and assessing building work requirements.
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety acts.
  • Knowledge of property agreements and stakeholder management with property owners.
