As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will perform cycle audits, execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, and document inbound and outbound deliveries. This opportunity allows you to deepen your knowledge of inventory management principles, warranty process management, data-bearing device destruction, and advance your career.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma AND significant experience in warehouse/supply chain within an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years.

While not mandatory, preferred qualifications include:

• Extensive experience in warehouse/supply chain roles in IT or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large organization, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Leverage process knowledge and judgment to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Understand the impact of your work on inventory accuracy and reporting.
• Maintain accurate information within inventory management systems.
• Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
• Reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
• Perform destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs) following SLAs and policies.
• Notify management about stock shortages and escalate issues as needed.
• Comply with security and data management policies.
