Are you a skilled Data Warehousing Specialist seeking an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact?

Our client, a prominent player in the financial industry, is actively seeking a talented professional like yourself to join their dynamic team.

You will need to establish and lead a world-class data analytics / warehouse capability for the company to enable future needs for advanced analytics and AI.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and support existing MIS databases, reports, dashboards, and data warehouses.
  2. Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support new databases, reporting, data warehouse, and business intelligence applications from high-level business requirements and designs through the Software Development Life Cycle.
  3. Remain informed about developments and trends in the data enablement field to assist the business in keeping its data analytics and management capability up-to-date.
  4. Collaborate with Project Managers and Business Leaders to deliver quality, effective management information, data warehouse, and business intelligence applications.
  5. Gather requirements, conduct analysis, and prioritize requests in collaboration with stakeholders.
  6. Translate business requirements into workable solutions and document them into technical specifications.
  7. Design and code new database and analytics functionality using readable, maintainable, and reusable code.
  8. Conduct Unit Testing of own code and resolve issues promptly.
  9. Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that functionality is working correctly.
  10. Deliver solutions into the applicable production environment once testing has been completed.
  11. Provide stakeholders with regular feedback on the technical design and timelines for solutions.
  12. Maintain existing databases and applications according to approved change requests.
  13. Diagnose root causes of issues and recommend potential solutions.
  14. Monitor performance of solutions and make recommendations for improvements.
  15. Log issues found in existing systems and ensure successful resolution.

  1. Develop, implement, and document Business Intelligence Solutions.
  2. Contribute to the overall data warehouse architecture and database designs.
  3. Maintain and oversee the administration of the data warehouse.
  4. Develop and maintain Business Intelligence and reporting technologies and processes.
  5. Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications for BI reports and applications.
  6. Design and develop reports and dashboards based on Business Requirements Document (BRD).
  7. Ensure continued maintenance and enhancement of existing business intelligence solutions.
  8. Extract, transform, and load (ELT) data using relevant tools.
  9. Verify and quality assure data provided.
  10. Provide support to business intelligence users on data-related issues.

Future Development and Planning:

  1. Conduct research and undergo training to remain abreast of data enablement trends.
  2. Assist management in planning future data enablement infrastructure and applications.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Relevant IT and data analytics qualifications (e.g., B.Tech or B.Sc.).
  2. Dimensional modelling and/or relevant Microsoft certification – Advantageous.
  3. On-the-job training/qualifications in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel, Starquest.
  4. Some experience in predictive analytic platforms (e.g., Python, Scala, Spark, AWS Sagemaker) will be advantageous.
  5. Some experience in Azure/AWS platform services will be advantageous.
  6. Proven data modelling techniques (3 years) and knowledge of Ralph Kimball data warehouse modelling (3 years).
  7. Experience with ETL systems and data transportation.
  8. Advanced knowledge of T-SQL (4 years) and SQL Server Database Engine (4 years).
  9. Practical experience with MS SSIS ETL software (4 years) and MS SSAS OLAP software (4 years).

Repository Type:

  1. Ability to source data from different repositories, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Hadoop.
