Data Warehouse Manager – Centurion – Rk to R1.1mil per annum

POSITION INFO: Join a team of dynamic experts within a consultancy known for leading a world-class data analytics/warehouse capability and specializing in AI applications. This consultancy helps enterprise clients extract business value by implementing AI solutions and has a vacancy for a Data Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for enabling future needs for advanced analytics and AI.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and document Business Intelligence Solutions.
2. Contribute to the overall data warehouse architecture and database designs.
3. Maintain and oversee the administration and maintenance of the data warehouse.
4. Develop and maintain Business Intelligence and reporting technologies and processes.
5. Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications for Business Intelligence (BI) reports and applications.
6. Design and develop reports and dashboards based on Business Requirements Document (BRD) and customer specifications.
7. Develop feasible technical specifications and process flows for data provision.
8. Within user specifications, extract, transform, and load (ELT) data using the relevant tools.
9. Verify and quality assure the data provided.
10. Translate business requirements into workable solutions and document solutions into technical specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Relevant IT and data analytics qualifications e.g. B.Tech or B.Sc. Informatics - Essential.
2. Dimensional modelling and/or relevant Microsoft certification – Advantageous.
3. 3 – 5 years of management experience taking care of teams between 5 – 8 people.
4. Experience on AWS/Azure SQL elastic instance, Data Factory, Power BI.
5. Solid understanding of Metadata constructs.
6. Clear understanding of EDW.
7. Must be familiar with the concept of Data Marts.
8. Proven data modelling techniques (3 years).
9. Experience in Ralph Kimball data warehouse modelling (3 years).
10. Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Studio.
