This role is within the Data Management Office and reports to the Data Head.

The Data Steward will be responsible for the Global Markets portfolio, implementing strategies and business processes to create, maintain, and enhance data. Responsibilities include managing critical data assets, providing governance oversight, maximizing data value, improving data quality, reducing management costs, and ensuring data integrity.

You will be expected to:

1. Provide input into data processes and standards.
2. Embed data policies, standards, tools, and best practices.
3. Contribute to data architecture and management practices.
4. Evaluate and improve information management landscape.
5. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
6. Build relationships with stakeholders for compliance and data governance.
7. Develop SLAs, document data definitions, and maintain reference and master data.
8. Manage metadata, data quality rules, and publish metadata for organizational use.
9. Respond to data queries, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data quality issues.
10. Monitor user access and usage, define metrics, and provide reporting to support decision-making.
11. Participate in data projects, align activities with project goals, and drive information management maturity.
12. Promote best practices, provide training, and recommend tools to improve data management.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

• Have a relevant Degree
• Have previous experience as a Data Steward, preferably within a Corporate Investment Bank
• Are knowledgeable in metadata, data quality rules, EDM, reference data, and records management
• Understand regulatory requirements and data standards
• Can build relationships with stakeholders
