Job Description

Manage multiple projects within the Data Science and Data Engineering space. Perform stakeholder and business engagement, and manage the end-to-end delivery to clients by leading teams of Data Engineers and Data Scientists.

The data scientist role is a specialized skill set within Deloitte Consulting: Cloud Engineering. The main purpose of this role is to create innovative data solutions, automate processes, design new data warehouse processes, and develop mechanisms to extract insights from data for key stakeholders.

Key Competencies

• Building tailor-made SQL solutions for reporting and monitoring purposes, including automation of controls.
• Data analysis to derive insights.
• Making sound data recommendations to align with best data governance principles.
• Designing, developing, and implementing database solutions in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Utilizing stored procedures to create routines that maintain reporting and automated controls.
• Identifying opportunities and building appropriate models or solutions for company operations.
• Creating logic links between data from various systems to facilitate cross-system and multi-dimensional reporting.
• Automating controls in business processes.
• Designing and implementing automated data comparison solutions to trigger control processes.
• Simplifying complex manual processes into automated or semi-automated processes.
• Managing technical stakeholders across the business.
• Modeling complex business problems.
• Identifying opportunities to improve business processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

• Deliver and manage the execution of Data Engineering and Data Science projects.
• Produce scalable, automated solutions leveraging Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
• Develop a Business Intelligence roadmap; prioritize insight requests to balance tactical and strategic needs.
• Design and manage end-to-end Data Science and Data Engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with technology teams to develop new data capabilities and architecture.
• Develop and improve frameworks to organize and structure teams for quality delivery.
• Support in developing project documentation such as scope of work and code conduct.
• Implement best practices for pipeline frameworks and use cases deployment using ML techniques.
• Establish and meet SLAs and TATs for requirements.
• Understand business processes, risks, and controls.
• Frame client problem statements and propose data analytics or digital solutions.
• Utilize industry technologies for data analytics, BI, data science, and data engineering tools.
• Apply SDLC methodologies to solution development.
• Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal, management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Mentor and train junior team members.
• Experience in business engagement and stakeholder management.
