Job summary

BigTalent is seeking a Data Scientist for its Marketing Department in Cape Town. You will build predictive models to forecast customer behavior and boost marketing effectiveness, and extract insights to guide targeting and segmentation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies and mentor junior analysts transitioning into data science roles. A strong foundation in ML, Python/R, SQL, and visualization tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in data science with predictive modeling and ML expertise.
• Strong Python or R, SQL (BigQuery), and data visualization skills (Tableau, Looker Studio).
• Experience with ML algorithms and big data technologies (GCP, Hadoop, Spark).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
