Qualifications

This role is within the FNB Private Banking and Advisory team.

The purpose is to deliver analytical insights supporting the retail business, with a focus on Private Banking and Advisory.

Core deliverables include Customer Engagements, Customer Segmentation, and Data Feature Engineering, achieved through robust data modelling, analysis, and statistical modelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding Data Analytics in a large financial services organisation.
  • Understanding technical points of Data Management and Analytics, as well as business drivers and needs.
  • Working with big data and transforming data for modelling and insights.
  • Proficiency in SAS & SQL.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Translating business requirements into tangible solutions with guidance.
  • Being a team player and leveraging networks.
  • Building trust through emotional intelligence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Qualification : B Degree in Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Preferred Qualification : Honours Degree.
  • Experience : 1-2 years in Data Analytics or Customer Analytics.
  • Experience in model development and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SQL required.
  • Proficiency in SAS advantageous.
  • Skills in Python or R beneficial.
