This specialist role involves collaboration with investigative units and a multi-disciplinary team in both business and Fraud Strategy. The role focuses on implementing monitoring approaches to combat evolving fraud techniques in the insurance landscape and driving innovation in developing new monitoring techniques to fight fraud.

The focus will be on tactical anti-fraud analytics aimed at minimizing losses from known fraud methods, while continuously applying analytics to identify emerging patterns and modus operandi that could expose the business to fraud risk.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Using SAS to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and extract insights.
2. Applying statistical methods to solve business problems.
3. Cleaning, transforming, and preparing data for analysis and reporting.
4. Collaborating with teams to support data-driven decision making.
5. Documenting all processes executed or distributed regularly.
6. Producing ad-hoc analysis reports on fraud-related issues.
7. Creating reports to support fraud analytics strategic goals.
8. Ensuring timely updates and distribution of reports to stakeholders.
9. Coding and executing ongoing tactical anti-fraud analytics to identify known fraud patterns for case referrals.
10. Exploring data to identify emerging or new fraud patterns.
11. Collaborating with investigative teams to incorporate lessons learned into rules and models.
12. Exploring additional intelligence sources to enhance fraud detection.
13. Using efficient coding methodologies for fast querying of large datasets.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

1. Have a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or similar.
2. Have 1+ year of experience in Data Science.
3. Have hands-on knowledge and experience with SAS.
