Job summary

Decision Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Information and Analytics team in a client-facing, permanent role. You will develop analytics and predictive models, work with cloud AI platforms, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations for diverse industries.

The ideal candidate has a strong statistical background, experience with AI governance and CI/CD pipelines, and excellent communication to manage client expectations.

• Identify and develop Analytics and/or Predictive/Prescriptive Models and/or Gen AI Models to enable better decision making for clients.
• Participate in analysis and design sessions – determine best fit solution for clients.
• Delve for insights in client data and processes to help improve their businesses.
• Integrate Models into existing or new BI and cloud solutions with the consulting team.
• Communicate progress with client and project teams.

Who We Need – Senior Data Scientist

Decision Inc. is currently looking for an ambitious Data Scientist to join our Data Information and Analytics team as a client-facing, permanently employed consultant. Good communication and collaboration skills are therefore essential, as well as great statistical ability on at least one platform (ideally Python). There will be exposure to a wide range of industries, so the ability to quickly understand new business environments is essential.

Who Do You Need to Be?

OR

• BEng, BSc (preferably Honours), BSc Computer Science
• 3+ Years working experience in Data Science
• Advanced knowledge and experience in at least one cloud AI platform e.g. Microsoft, AWS or GCP
• Experience in AI/MLOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in AI Governance and Security
• Experience building Gen AI solutions
• Consulting experience (advantageous)
• Good understanding of data and analytical methodologies and solution delivery
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the emphasis on relationship building, understanding business requirements, and management of business expectations
• Ability to be proactive and accountable for your own deliverables
• Ability to work within a team
• Willingness to oversee, guide and upskill junior to senior consultants
• Effective planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
• Eagerness and willingness to learn – a positive attitude is everything!
