We are seeking a Data Scientist to develop and implement innovative analytical methodologies, models, and products that provide insights and support strategic business decisions.
You should be able to:

- Ensure ethical use of data respecting privacy and sensitivity requirements.

- Create delivery plans in collaboration with stakeholders to meet information needs and define performance metrics.
- Analyze data to identify new commercial opportunities.
- Translate data insights into practical business information within the approved architecture.
- Assess data quality and availability for analysis.
- Develop core analytical capabilities and model libraries using advanced statistical techniques.
- Collaborate across departments to optimize data use and operational results.
- Participate in projects addressing analytical needs and opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in analytics, understanding business operations.
- Build models to analyze processes for optimization and cost savings.
- Document and audit processes and models.
- Manipulate and analyze data proactively to meet business needs.
- Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms using languages like SAS or Python.
- Utilize predictive modeling to forecast outcomes and support deep learning research.
- Recognize patterns in data with pattern recognition technologies.
- Build and deploy models into applications with software development teams.
- Conduct text analytics on unstructured data for insights.
- Identify data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in enterprise problem resolution with engineers and product managers.
- Create visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain and update models regularly to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Use data insights to improve customer experience and monitor business decisions.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Support junior analysts and contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture.
- Build relationships to manage expectations and foster collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative, and governance requirements.
- Develop and implement governance and compliance procedures.
- Identify risks and determine appropriate analytics models for business questions.
- Prepare relevant data sources for analysis and translate business needs into models.
- Develop and apply advanced models to address business problems and opportunities.
Minimum Qualification: BSc in Actuarial Science, Quantitative Risk, Maths, or Stats; Honours in Mathematics.
Experience : 2-3+ years, coding in SAS, SQL; proficient in PowerBi, Excel, PowerPoint; Python and Java advantageous.
