  • Responding to ad hoc business questions and surfacing insights for decision-making.
  • Creating automation and optimization tools using Python and Excel.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define analytical questions and interpret results.
  • Improving data pipelines and supporting data quality initiatives.
  • Integrating analytics into existing platforms and processes.
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for querying structured datasets.
  • Solid experience using Python for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud or AWS is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of statistics and hypothesis testing.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Must-have attributes:

  • Effective communication of insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capability to handle multiple data requests and priorities systematically.
  • Ability to identify gaps and opportunities in data sources.

  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability to new datasets, technologies, and business questions.
  • Ownership of projects and proactive learning attitude.
Preferred experience:
  • Exploratory data analysis and visual storytelling.
  • Building tools and reports that are actively used and provide value.
  • Creating dashboards in tools like AWS QuickSight or Google Data Studio.
  • Using Jupyter notebooks.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Supporting operational and performance analytics across sales, customer, and product data.
Prerequisites:
  • A tertiary qualification in Data Science, Mathematical Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
