Job description

The successful incumbent must possess at least three (3) years experience, working at a Supervisory level within the Hospitality Industry.

  • A minimum of a Higher Certificate or a National Diploma qualification
  • Basic food hygiene certification
  • Valid driving license code 08
  • Computer literacy with regards to MS Office and specifically Word, Excel and Power Point

Responsibilities:

  • The Food Service and Hospitality Supervisor must oversee the front of house activities and the operations of the Guesthouse.
  • Ensuring that service delivery and servings run efficiently and effectively.
  • Managing shifts and ensuring that serving of food and provision of hospitality services are done efficiently.
  • Checking event calendar entries and ensuring that requirements are fulfilled.
  • Maintaining good behaviour and discipline amongst the team in the guesthouse.
  • Liaising with the Hospitality Management team regarding rotations and staff requirements.
  • Arranging and attending functions and events.
  • Planning, hosting, and managing internal and external events, functions, and hospitality.
  • Maintaining inventories of all equipment and managing stock.
  • Conducting stock take, stock control, and coordinating administrative requirements.
  • Ensuring that the stores are kept tidy and neat.
