Job summary

IQ Business Group in Welgemoed, Cape Town, is seeking a Data Quality and Governance Team Lead on a 12-month contract. You will lead daily data entry and quality operations, embed metadata management, and act as the link between Finance, Programme Management, and technical teams to ensure trusted data across platforms.

The role requires 3+ years in data quality/operations and 2+ years in a supervisory position, with experience in CRM data governance and Salesforce.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Information Management or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in data entry, data quality, data operations, or admin ops.
Minimum 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
Comfortable with Excel and basic data validation techniques.
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and data governance concepts.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily activities of Data Entry and Data Quality Operators.
Assign, prioritise, and track team tasks to meet deadlines and SLAs.
Escalate complex data quality issues and cross-system inconsistencies.
Coach and support team on data quality standards and tools.
Monitor performance, trends, and provide ongoing feedback and development.
Foster a collaborative, quality-driven team culture.
Implement data governance policies related to master data.
Act as Data Steward for assigned data domains with clear ownership.
Maintain data catalogue metadata and definitions with stakeholders.
Ensure accurate data entry in Salesforce and other systems; drive data improvements.
