Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to analyze, design and implement data quality solutions within the Data Science team. The role focuses on identifying missing or incorrect data in large structured datasets, collaborating with business analysts and engineers.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mathematics, statistics and databases, plus hands-on experience with data modeling, data mining tools and reporting platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 8 years of experience with an application development environment, RDBMS, relational design and/or object technology preferred.
• Experience working with SQL databases is a plus.
• Must have experience with relational data modeling and data mining tools and/or other BI tools; use of Crystal Reports recommended.
• Five years of experience with data analysis and reporting tools required.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts data validation testing, applying both manual and automated methods, to ensure data quality is maintained within a system or business entity
• Prepares reports for program management and product owners to support decisions regarding project goals, objectives, performance and risk
• Reviews customer data to identify and mitigate errors, inaccuracies, anomalies, inconsistencies and improper processing
• Participates in the analysis of experimental results and testing methodology to determine appropriate and effective solutions
• Implements tools and processes designed to comply with the organization's data quality standards and regulations

The Data Quality Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of data quality solutions to support our customers in their needs. As a member of the Data Science team you will use your technical expertise in mathematics, statistics and databases to work with our business analysts and engineers on projects related to identifying missing or incorrect data within large sets of structured.
