We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our Global Markets team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of data used in trading, risk management, and regulatory reporting across global financial markets.

This role will work closely with business, technology, and compliance teams to improve data integrity and drive high-quality data standards across the organization.JOB DESCRIPTION : Job Title : Data Quality Analyst - Global MarketsEmployment Type : 3 months ContractWork Location : Johannesburg North JOB CONTEXT : Our Global Markets team is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of our trading data.

In this dynamic role, you'll design and implement data quality processes, define metrics, and drive compliance with data governance standards.

We're looking for someone with strong data analysis and process engineering skills, as well as solid experience in financial markets and trading environments.

Develop, document and implement data quality processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within Global Markets.

Establish data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms to continuously assess and improve data quality, including relevant technical dashboards and processes.

Establish and implement data process workflows to ensure that data quality is infused as part of any business process.

Implement data governance frameworks, including data attestation and data lineage, to ensure the integrity, security, and usability of data.

Support the Global Markets data portfolio to ensure alignment with the company's data strategy, business objectives, and enterprise data governance.

Ensure compliance with data legislations and regulations applicable to South Africa and other African and international countries where Global Markets operates.

Conduct thorough research on regulatory requirements and stay updated with changes in regulations.

Collaborate with various departments, including data producers, trading, risk management, and IT, to ensure data quality and governance

Build data quality dashboards for anomalies with alerts to source owners for resolution

Oversee and contribute to data remediation initiatives across Global Markets

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS;

Relevant qualification in a related field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Management.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Investment Banking / Capital Markets IT and Data domain.

5-10 years of experience in a business and data analysis role working in a Global Markets environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good working experience with Cloud technologies, especially AWS.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED :

Good understanding of asset classes such as Equity, Fixed Income, Credit, FX, commodities, Interest Rates, Collateral, and their product lifecycle.

Working experience on FMA, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, CFTC, and other relevant Markets Regulatory Reporting requirements.

Excellent experience with data governance best practices and tools including creating data quality dashboards.

Familiarity with Front Arena application as a primary system.

PREFFERED SKILLS :

Strong business, process and data analysis as well as project management skills to oversee data quality projects from inception to completion

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to effectively communicate with various departments and external regulatory bodies

High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data submissions

Ability to interpret and apply regulatory policies and guidelines to business processes

PACKAGE & REMUNERATION :
