Role/Responsibilities

The Data Platform Product Manager will oversee a data engineering squad for one of Moody's Analytics' critical data platforms, emphasizing rapid delivery of new data sets. This role involves driving effective delivery, unblocking team members, and facilitating decision-making.

This position is part of the Data Product Management Team, a dynamic group focused on data value creation for customers and the business.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Data Platform Product Owner, Data Governance, QA, Data Engineering, and Product Development teams to bring new data sets to market.
• Collaborate with data engineering to understand solution complexities and participate in choosing implementation approaches.
• Manage an agile scrum team and conduct related ceremonies.
• Facilitate communication across data and product squads to monitor dependencies and make sound decisions.
• Manage the data engineering backlog, including user stories, bugs, and tasks aligned with roadmap initiatives.
• Ensure successful data deployment and coordinate with release management, Data Quality, and Data Governance teams.
• Build strong relationships with data strategy partners to ensure effective delivery and evolution of data sets.
• Ensure data quality standards are met and best practices are followed in stories and priorities.
• Gather stakeholder input to maintain a prioritized product backlog.
• Identify opportunities for automation, technology leverage, and process streamlining.
• Mitigate risks and ensure controls are in place throughout the data delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (e.g., MBA, Master's).
• 5+ years in technical product management or data engineering for data-intensive B2B products.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
• Experience with data platform or warehousing tools (e.g., Athena, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka).
• Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting and analysis.
• Results-oriented, proactive, and driven to effect change.
• Experience managing teams in matrixed environments with external resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and collaborative.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

For US-based roles, the anticipated salary range is $134,400 - $194,850, depending on experience, education, skills, and location. This role includes incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
