Job summary

X, bigly labs, Dis-Chem’s high-performance innovation hub, is seeking a Data Modeller who will develop enterprise data models and governance solutions to support analytics and AI initiatives. You will translate business needs into scalable data structures and collaborate across data and analytics teams to drive transformative healthcare insights.

The role emphasizes modelling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers, metadata standardization, and hands-on collaboration with data engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in enterprise data modelling, data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management.
• Experience with conceptual, logical and physical data modelling.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modelling techniques.
• Experience with metadata management and enterprise data dictionaries.
• Experience using enterprise modelling tools such as SAP PowerDesigner, ERwin or ER/Studio.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing and Lakehouse concepts.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.

The Data Modeller is responsible for developing and managing enterprise conceptual, logical and physical data models and solutions within various portfolios to support strategic decision-making, advanced analytics, and AI initiatives. This includes translating data architecture into reusable, governed and implementation-ready designs that support data and digital products.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree: Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in enterprise data modelling, data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management.
• Experience with conceptual, logical and physical data modelling.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modelling techniques.
• Experience with metadata management and enterprise data dictionaries.
• Experience using enterprise modelling tools such as SAP PowerDesigner, ERwin or ER/Studio.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing and Lakehouse concepts.

Advantageous

• Experience modelling data for Databricks, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
• SAP data modelling experience.
• CDMP certification.
• DAMA-DMBOK knowledge.
• Data Vault certification.
