Job summary

Scatec Solar is seeking a Data Management Lead to implement and maintain enterprise-wide data governance, quality, and management practices across the group. You will act as the single source of truth and enable regulatory compliance and data-driven decision making.

You will drive data ownership, standardization, lifecycle management, and data readiness for AI, collaborating with Architecture and the Data Platform teams to ensure data is trusted and fit for purpose.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science or Business Administration.
• Advanced Degree or relevant certifications (CISM, CISSP, CDMP) preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in data management, data governance, or a closely related function.
• Track record of designing and implementing data governance frameworks in complex, multi-country organizations.
• Background in Master Data Management (MDM) and data lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and a data catalogue in line with Digital & IT practices.
• Support the establishment of data ownership and accountability across business units, including governance of master data domains.
• Identify data quality risks and lead clean-up and remediation initiatives to ensure data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
• Drive data standardization across the organization — including naming conventions, taxonomies, and data classification — and maintain data lineage to ensure data is traceable across systems.
• Oversee data lifecycle management, including retention, archival, and secure disposal of data in line with regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and the Data Platform team on data standards, architecture decisions, and system implementations.
• Support the data readiness roadmap for AI, working with the Data Analytics & AI team to ensure data is well-governed and fit for purpose.

• Experience in the renewables or energy sector is an advantage
