Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking an experienced data governance professional to implement operating standards such as data quality, lifecycle management, metadata, and privacy across the bank's information assets.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, translate them into governance solutions, and drive data-driven decision making using Microsoft technologies and banking datasets.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years' experience in Data Governance, Data Management, and Information Risk in Banking/Financial Services.
• Strong experience in data lifecycle management including data quality, metadata, analysis, validation, and artefact management.
• Able to translate business and technical requirements into data governance solutions.
• Knowledge of data structures, data repositories, and data movement across systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement data governance operating standards and policies.
• Support the business to understand how data is collected, stored, used and deleted.
• Develop dashboards and automation to support governance requirements.
• Interpret regulations and align them to business needs.
