South African Postbank SOC Limited seeks a senior Head of Data Management to lead governance, quality and lineage across core banking and analytics environments. You will own data ownership, stewardship, metadata, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with technology, operations and risk teams.

The role requires 10+ years in IT, with 5+ years in banking data environments, and a proven ability to drive data control, audit readiness and remediation across complex platforms.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline with substantial experience in data management
• Certificate or formal training in data governance, data quality, or related disciplines
• Proven leadership in data governance, security and regulatory compliance

Mansioni

• Define and manage data governance, data ownership and data stewardship practices across banking platforms
• Lead data quality management to improve reliability and integrity of reports and analytics
• Coordinate data reconciliation and control checks to ensure data integrity across processes
• Maintain data lineage, metadata, master and reference data across core banking and analytics environments
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, FICA, AML and other regulatory requirements through robust data controls
• Provide data management input into platform modernisation and reporting initiatives
• Lead risk-based data governance forums and executive reporting on data risks and remediation progress
• Develop and maintain data management operating model, service levels and escalation routines
• Mentor and manage the data management team to sustain capability and continuity
