Position Overview:

As a Data Governance Analyst at Senior Associate level, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance policies and practices that ensure the integrity, security, and usability of data assets across the organization. Your role will be vital in fostering a culture of accountability and transparency in data management while collaborating with various teams to support the firm’s commitment to quality, responsible digitization, and ethical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Governance Implementation:

  • Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to governance policies across the organization, promoting accountability among data stakeholders.

2. Data Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with data owners and stewards to define data quality metrics and implement processes to monitor and improve data quality.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and audits to identify data issues, providing actionable recommendations for remediation.

3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Architects, Data Analysts, and business units, to align data governance practices with strategic objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and understanding of data governance principles.

4. Training and Awareness:

  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate staff on data governance best practices, roles, and responsibilities within the data management framework.
  • Promote awareness of data governance initiatives across the organization to foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability.

5. Data Stewardship Support:

  • Support data stewards in managing and maintaining data definitions, lineage, and metadata to ensure that the organization's data is accurate and well-documented.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive data catalog to improve data accessibility and usability.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about relevant data protection regulations and industry standards, ensuring that data governance frameworks continuously align with compliance requirements.

7. Continuous Improvement:

8. Documentation and Reporting:

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:
