In data engineering at PwC, you will focus on designing and building data infrastructure and systems to enable efficient data processing and analysis. Responsibilities include developing and implementing data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation solutions. You will also motivate, develop, and inspire team members to deliver quality, coaching them to leverage their strengths and manage performance to meet client expectations.

  • Implement testing and deployment processes to ensure data reliability.
  • Oversee DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing.
  • Supervise quality assurance of code and data processes.
  • Mentor team members on data engineering and DevOps techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment.
  • Manage Agile project delivery, including sprint planning and backlog management.
  • Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and scalability.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and DevOps.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Strong experience in data pipeline development and DevOps, especially within AWS and Microsoft platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL, and data warehousing; Python advantageous.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and version control.
  • Proven leadership in data engineering projects and team management.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security practices.
