Job summary

BICRM in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced data engineer for a 12 months renewable contract. The role requires 6+ years of data engineering experience, with strong focus on cloud migration, data modelling, and building robust data pipelines to support hybrid cloud and on-prem data assets.

You will contribute to data architecture, cloud-based analytics infrastructure, and ML-related work, including ML concepts, DevOps/DataOps practices, and deployment/maintenance of ML models.

Are you an experienced data engineer with cloud migration and at least 6 years data engineering experience? Have you done the following in your previous data engineering roles:

• Conducted data modelling on existing and emerging transactional and business intelligence data assets to inform data architecture?;
• Designed, created and managed data pipelines
• Developed, implemented and reviewed data-related architecture, infrastructure, processes, and procedures?;
• Developed infrastructure to support hybrid data and analytics projects, integrating cloud and on-premise hosted services?;
• Implemented cloud-based data analytics infrastructure?
• Understanding of Machine Learning concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in DevOps and/or DataOps.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models.
