Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in merchandise planning or related retail planning.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills; proficient in Excel and planning software.
• Good understanding of retail math, inventory management and assortment planning.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandise plans based on sales forecasts, historical data, and market trends.
• Analyze sales performance, inventory levels and product lifecycle to inform planning decisions.
• Collaborate with buyers and category managers to establish optimal assortments and quantities.
• Create and manage demand forecasts for multiple product lines and store locations.
• Monitor inventory performance and optimize stock levels to minimize excess inventory.
• Provide recommendations for allocation and replenishment strategies across stores.
• Work with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
• Generate reports on key planning KPIs and present findings to stakeholders.
• Identify risks and opportunities related to merchandise planning and stay updated on best practices.
