Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Operations Optimization Engineer to join a global engineering team, supporting operations possibly in Upington and beyond. This fully remote role focuses on optimizing workflows, reducing costs, and driving operational excellence through data analytics.

You will design improved processes, model configurations, and test strategies using simulation and analytics, while collaborating with remote managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations optimization, industrial engineering, or a related analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and software such as Excel, Python, R, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data and process performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Design and model improved workflows, resource allocations, and system configurations.
• Develop data-driven strategies to reduce costs and waste.
• Collaborate with remote site managers and operations teams via virtual channels.
• Use simulation and analytical tools to test optimization strategies before implementation.
• Prepare reports and presentations outlining findings and recommendations for management.
