Job summary

iOCO is seeking an experienced Business/Data Analyst to define data contracts, lineage and integration across projects. You will work with Data and Solution Architects to document data structures, moves, and governance.

The role focuses on end-to-end data flows, schemas, interfaces and maintaining documentation across the technology landscape. Johannesburg location, 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Business/Data Analyst in complex tech environments.
• Strong data contracts, lineage, and data governance knowledge.
• Ability to map data flows from source to consumption across systems.
• Experience documenting interfaces, mappings and transformation rules.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiar with data platforms, APIs, ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data architects to define data requirements and integrations.
• Define, document and maintain data contracts between systems.
• Map end-to-end data lineage across sources, transformations and targets.
• Analyse data flows to identify gaps and integration risks.
• Produce data interface specifications and transformation rules.
• Support governance, metadata management and data standards.
• Ensure documentation is updated throughout project lifecycle.
• Assist teams during design, development and implementation.
