Data Center Technician (Cabling / Fibre) II (8-month contract)

Job Summary

This role involves acquiring skills to resolve routine tasks with limited judgment.

Responsibilities

1. Queue Management / Reporting: Review work orders, respond to routine requests, escalate higher-level orders, and support the team by following up and maintaining records.
2. Installations: Rack and stack basic customer equipment, support routine intra-cage and infrastructure installations, including ladder racks, fiber raceways, cable management, patch panels, ground cabinets, and post racks.
3. Cross-Connect Support: Basic troubleshooting and testing of cross-connects, including layer 1 certification testing under supervision.
4. Stakeholder Partnership: Support operations and security teams during breaks or other activities.
5. Customer Management: Ensure customer satisfaction by adhering to order execution requirements and providing quality service.
6. Projects: Assist in project fulfillment under close supervision.
7. Training: Complete assigned training promptly.
