Amazon Web Services (AWS) invites you to join the Data Center Engineering Operations internship, a hands-on role supporting critical infrastructure in AWS data centers. You will help ensure 100% availability of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems while delivering first-class service on site.

Qualifications

• Completed or about to complete a higher education qualification (NQF level 4–6) or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or similar fields.
• Professional English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a team with strong time management skills.
• Experience in program or project management (preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC) and controls (preferred).
• Reliable transportation to the data center facility (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for data center equipment and systems.
• Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in the facility.
• Assist with root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Take daily operational readings and use CMMS to manage workflows.
• Interact with on-site third-party vendors and contractors.
