Job description

Job Type Classification: Permanent

Salary: R – R per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Offer administrative support services.
  2. Input and update data from existing records into specified formats, such as databases, tables, and spreadsheets.
  3. Check and assess data for quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  4. Create spreadsheets, and maintain routine statistical updates, reports, and registers.
  5. Receive, log, and monitor records or documents submitted for further handling.
  6. Record routine transactions on computer systems, including transferring data from physical to digital formats.
  7. Regularly update computer records for reporting and information retrieval purposes.
  8. Perform consistent data backups.
  9. Ensure proper organization and security of records and files.
  10. Supply information to the relevant department or unit.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
  2. Proficiency in computer use.
  3. Understanding of clerical responsibilities and familiarity with the legal framework regulating public service.

  1. Strong communication abilities (both written and verbal).
  2. Effective interpersonal skills.
  3. Customer service orientation.
  4. Problem-solving capabilities.
  5. Attention to detail.

All shortlisted candidates will participate in a pre-entry practical exercise as part of the evaluation process to assess their suitability for the role based on its technical and general requirements.
