Job description

TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised nonprofit organisation. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls, young women, sex workers, and people who use drugs. Position: Data Capturer

The data capturer will assist with transportation of teams for client contact tracing in communities. In addition to driving, the successful candidate will offer general administration duties, data capturing, assist with event logistics, vehicle maintenance, observing all road safety and traffic laws.

Minimum Requirements

1. Grade 12
2. Tertiary qualification would be advantageous
3. Two (2) years experience in data collection, capturing, updating, and/or maintaining electronic databases
4. Two (2) years experience in data capturing and reporting
5. Two (2) years experience as a driver
6. Experience in Microsoft Packages
7. Valid South African code 10 drivers license plus Professional Driver Permit (PDP)
8. Knowledge of capturing data in any health M&E systems (TIER and/or DHIS) will be advantageous
9. Experience in working with outreach teams & providing health education
10. Experience in working with key populations, particularly PWUD, beneficial
11. Previous work in the TB environment will be an advantage
12. Be compliant with all local driving laws and regulations
13. Basic TB HIV and adherence knowledge
14. Willing to travel and work after hours
