Job summary

NatCarbon Africa is seeking a Data Capturer for the Spekboom Restoration Project in Kariega, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on daily data entry and quality checks to support timely reporting and invoicing.

The short-term contract runs from 14 October to 14 December 2026, with flexible hours and limited travel within the Eastern Cape. You will work under the supervision of the Logistics project extension officer.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required.
• Experience with data capture or data entry is preferred.
• Willingness to participate in a practical evaluation during the interview process.

• Identify and verify errors or unclear data with Quality Controller before capture.

Job Title: Data Capturer, Spekboom Restoration Project Division: Operations Division

Location: 1 Cobham Street, Kariega, Eastern Cape

Short-term Contract Position: 14 October – 14 December 2026. Must be available to start immediately.

Reports to: Project Extension Officer: Logistics

Position Summary:

We are looking for Data Capturer to capture data daily for the project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Daily capture of data into excell database
• Identify and verify any errors or unclear data with the Quality Controller before capture.
• Analyze data against a set of criteria to identify anomalies
• Ensure accurate and consistent data entry
• Address any anomalies in the data the same day
• Ensure data is captured data to inform reporting
• Ensure all data is captured and verified to allow for invoicing processed to proceed on time.

General:

• Limited travel within the Eastern Cape is anticipated, including remote Travel may on occasion cross weekends and holidays to accommodate schedules. Work hours may be irregular.
