Are you an experienced Data Analyst with a strong Business Analysis understanding and background in banking / financial services?

We are searching for an Intermediate Power BI Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in the thriving banking sector! This is a contract role with the potential to extend to a permanent position.

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Leverage your Power BI expertise to design, develop, and optimize data models that fuel insightful reporting.
• Craft clear and compelling dashboards and reports that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams to translate business needs into actionable data visualizations.
• Gather requirements from diverse stakeholders and ensure reports meet their specific needs.
• Stay at the forefront of the data world by continuously learning and exploring the latest Power BI features.

You will meet the following minimum requirements

• A strong grasp of data visualization principles and best practices.
• The ability to connect to and integrate a variety of data sources seamlessly.
• Proven experience in optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards for top performance.
• A knack for troubleshooting and solving data modeling challenges.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing Row-Level Security (RLS) within Power BI.
• Experience configuring and maintaining user access and roles in Power BI Report Manager.
• The ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with both technical and non-technical teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard and report development.
• Working knowledge of Power Query.
• Familiarity with Power BI Desktop clients, Report Servers, and Report Manager.
• A strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills to both gather requirements and present data insights effectively.
