About the Role : Grade Level (for internal use): 07 Data Analyst

The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, updating, and ensuring the quality of Macro Economic, Financial, and Industry data, as well as maintaining data ingestion tools.

The Impact : The role supports our macroeconomic and financial products by delivering critical data, aiding our customers in making investment decisions. Data gathered and maintained is vital for many S&P Global Market Intelligence businesses and is crucial for GIA forecasts and analysis.

Responsibilities :

  1. Update macroeconomic, financial, and industry data within specified timeframes.
  2. Rebase data and recalculate history as needed, or work on data revisions due to methodology changes.
  3. Add data as requested by the manager.
  4. Perform quality control on all supported data.
  5. Collaborate with Analysts to address day-to-day questions or issues.
  6. Provide second-level support to customers via the ticket system.

What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree in economics.
  • 2-3 years of experience in economic and financial data.
  • Excellent computer and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • English language skills; knowledge of French or Portuguese is an advantage.
